Study the secretive world of owls with our new HMNH family program! Learn together with hands-on activities about bird beaks and feet and do up-close observation of real specimens from our museum collections. Learn about the specific owl adaptations that make them the incredible nocturnal predators they are by investigating real feathers and bones! Dig even deeper by dissecting real owl pellets to learn the identity of an owl’s midnight snack. Listen carefully as you learn to identify owls by call. All activities are designed to be a fun and interactive experience for elementary age students and their families to participate in together

Fees per person: $10 members / $15 nonmembers including admission to the museum. Participants are encouraged to come early or stay late and explore the museum before or after class. Advanced registration required. Register online.
