Date:
Tuesday, October 24, 2017, 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Location:
Seminar Room, 440
Speaker: Professor David Keith
Professor Keith is going to give a talk on: "How much could solar geoengineering reduce climate risks?”
Abstract: I will attempt a rough summary of recent findings regarding (a) the climate's response to radiative forcing by stratospheric aerosols, (b) methods of producing appropriate aerosol distributions, and (c) risks. In closing I will discuss the trade-off between solar geoengineering, emissions reductions and adaptation in climate policy.
