The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (AOS) at Peking University (PKU) and the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS) at Harvard University have jointly established the Climate and Environment Collaborative (CEC) to collaborate in climate, extreme weather, and atmospheric and oceanic evnironments researches, with potential to expand collaborative efforts to other disciplines at both PKU and Harvard in the future.
The CEC affords AOS and EPS the opportunity to:
- foster exchange of faculty and students
- collaborate in research, technology, and professional training of students as future leaders with a global perspective
- facilitate the sharing of teaching material and collaborative research results
- host international workshops and conferences
